Treasure hunts, crew & pirate waters

A Perfect catch can start a treasure hunt. Read your map, search pirate waters and bring a valuable home. Crew hiring, Hades and map markers also receive clearer guidance.

Each active Crew member adds 1 Favor per minute to the base rate of 1. Regeneration runs while you are alive and online, after choosing a god, up to your Divinity maximum. Reserves above your current boat capacity do not add regeneration.

Crew prices count all already-hired members, including reserves. The first three cost 250 + 300 + 350 = 900 gold. Active Premium discounts each hire by 10%, so those three cost 225 + 270 + 315 = 810. The merchant shows your current quote before payment.

Ordinary sinking loses hired Crew, including reserves. Switching to a smaller boat preserves reserves. Tutorial and designated safe boss deaths retain their existing protections.

Crew does not grant a material-drop bonus. NPCs still do not drop Wood, Metal, Glass or Cloth; obtain those materials by recycling equipment. Scrap remains in NPC loot.

The aggression rule checks your combined combat level against the NPC’s displayed level. At nine levels above, normal automatic aggression still applies. Attacking the NPC can still start a fight, and nearby lower-level players can still draw aggression.

Grave Robber applies a 1.15 multiplier to treasure chest chance, not a guaranteed chest or a rarity increase. Its cooldown remains 15 minutes.

The fishing map markers make existing tool requirements easier to read. The new bottle discovery is attached to Perfect catches; existing fishing tool requirements remain unchanged.

The map stays rolled until its first successful opening. It then uses distinct unrolled artwork, retaining its rarity frame. Reopening shows the same clue and does not restart the timer; time keeps passing while you are offline. Only one hunt can be active at a time.

Common hunts use level 20 aggressive pirate waters, Rare level 40, Epic level 70 and Legendary level 100. Higher rarities mark larger search areas. Treasure sites and their marked areas are outside safe zones.

Sail alongside your private floating chest and stop to collect it before the timer expires. It awards a goblet, treasure coins, jewelry or crown directly: 50%, 30%, 15% or 5%. It does not award another unopened chest. Sell the valuable at the Harbour Merchant.

Bottles and maps cannot be traded or sold. Unused maps can wait in your bank; an opened map keeps its original deadline. The map is consumed when its treasure is claimed or its hunt expires.

The three illustrations below are original inventory artwork. Their decorative map markings are not a real clue; the in-game parchment draws the current world geography and your own search area.
